Last week a wonderful exhibit opened at Los Angeles County Museum of Art;
Diane Von Furstenberg; Journey of a Dress
celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the iconic wrap dress
The exhibit runs until April 1, 2014 and admission is free!
And it is quite a celebration with easily over 100 variations of the wrap dress.
Here are just a few...
a neckline with a collar and short sleeves,
a keyhole bodice, floor length dress and sleeveless,
does this strapless one even wrap?
a halter neck and handkerchief hemline,
a wrap pantsuit with long sleeves in DVF classic animal print,
a gorgeous spaghetti strap, floor length and color blocked,
a classic black and white stripe that looked familiar…
Oh yeah; I own it !!!
And back in 1975 you could make your own wrap dress with a pattern BY Dian Von Furstenberg.
And apparently it was "Very Easy"…
There's lots to see inside AND outside the exhibit.
Diane Von Furstenberg is everywhere!
